Fees and Financial Coverage

Psychological services are not covered by OHIP, but are partially covered by most extended health insurance plans (e.g., Maritime Life, Blue Cross, Great West Life, etc.). The coverage for each carrier is different so please check your plan to see how much coverage you have for psychological services and the claim procedure.
Because I am a registered psychologist, the fees for psychological services are exempt from GST and constitute a tax-deductible medical expense. Therefore, on your annual income tax form, you can claim the portion of your fees that were not covered by your health plan.
